About

The Desert Foothills Family YMCA opened its doors in October 2009, serving the communities of North Scottsdale, Cave Creek, Carefree, and North Phoenix. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the North Sonoran desert, we are part of the Black Mountain C in partnership with Paradise Valley Community College and the Foothills Community Foundation. We offer individuals and families the opportunity to engage with one another and empower community members to be healthier in spirit, mind, and body. From youth programs and sports to aquatics, wellness, and community events, every Y experience brings positive change—supported by membership access programs that keep the Y open to all.

KidStrong North Scottsdale Gym

KidStrong North Scottsdale is a science-based training program that builds strong, confident and high-character kids, from crawling through age 11. Baby, toddler, preschool and school-age sessions are led by highly-trained coaches who take kids through age-appropriate challenges and competitions in weekly 45-minute classes.
